Work Experience

Software Engineer - Complete Farmer(Full Time)

10/2024 - 07/2025

Platform Responsiveness: I rebuilt approximately 75% of the buyer platform to be fully responsive, ensuring a consistent and optimal user experience across all devices as the initial product was completely not responsive.

New Product Development: Played a major role in the development of the new Storefront product, building the landing page in close collaboration with the marketing team. This page showcased key features and usage instructions, making the product market-ready.

Improved User Satisfaction: Increased the Apdex (Application Performance Index) score from a suboptimal 0.12 (12%) to an impressive 0.71 (71%) and a Crash free session of 96% on the average. This significant improvement is tracked via Sentry which indicates a much faster and more responsive platform, leading to a higher user satisfaction rate.

Reduced Code Duplication: Optimized the codebase by reducing code duplication from 22.8% to 8.2% which is recorded on SonarQube whilst maintaining a Maintainability score of A and Security Score of A. This enhancement makes the code more maintainable, scalable, and easier for new developers to onboard, improving overall development velocity and reducing the potential for bugs.

Frontend Engineer - Cowtribe Inc(Contract)

02/2025 - 06/2025

Led the frontend development and integration of a comprehensive dashboard at Cowtribe, collaborating closely with the CEO, backend developer, and designer to ensure seamless functionality and an intuitive user experience.

Developed and implemented task scheduling and management features for livestock vaccination on the Cowtribe mobile app using React Native

Research And Development Assistant (Generative AI) focusing on AI-powered patient diagnostics. This included tracking symptoms and allergies, suggesting prescriptions while flagging potential allergic reactions, and determining the necessity of MRI scans.

Developed inventory management features for MyAppLab’s Vend One product, serving over 10,000 users.

Collaborated with clients to gather feedback and deliver responsive websites tailored to their needs.

Integrated data from back-end services using REST, GraphQL, and Contentful APIs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Technical debt represents the cost of additional rework caused by choosing an easy but limited solution now instead of a better approach that would take longer. I manage it by regularly prioritizing and scheduling refactoring tasks, creating automated tests before refactoring to reduce risk, and communicating its impact to stakeholders to balance short-term delivery and long-term code health.
Refactoring improves code readability, maintainability, and extensibility without changing its external behavior. It reduces complexity and helps catch bugs early by cleaning up messy or duplicated code, which enhances overall software quality and speeds up future development.
I refactor when I encounter duplicated code, overly complex methods, or when adding new features becomes difficult due to tangled code. I also prioritize refactoring when technical debt begins to slow development or cause bugs, balanced against delivery deadlines.
Common code smells include duplicated code, long methods, large classes, excessive parameters, and tightly coupled components. These usually signal that the code is hard to maintain and should be simplified or modularized.
Refactoring is improving the internal structure of existing code without changing its functionality, while rewriting means discarding old code and building it from scratch. Refactoring is less risky and less costly but improving a fundamentally flawed design may require a complete rewrite.
I try to deliver features in small, manageable increments with automated tests that allow safe refactoring later. I allocate time in each sprint for technical debt repayment and refactoring, and keep open communication with product owners about the long-term risks of ignoring technical debt.
I use static code analysis tools like SonarQube to find code smells and complexity, code coverage reports to locate untested areas, and peer code reviews to spot maintainability issues. Tracking bug frequency and developer frustration also signals accumulating technical debt.
